The story of this dress is an interesting one. As a college student I was bored and took on dolls as a means of challenge (for both my instructor and I as dolls were not part of the regular curriculum). I wanted to do a historic line of patterns from the 19th century.... a silouette type idea showing how fashion changed. I did it in 1" scale. This was the first design I did for Katherine for that line. Originally I used yellow blanket binding not knowing a thing about scale. Unfortunately I no longer have my blanket binding version. My teacher thought I was insaine to sew this tiny at the time but encouraged me to follow my interests and dreams. The results are in the various outfits on this site.
